Here is a tutorial on making fake candles. They are reusable and you don't have to worry about anyone or anything getting burned at an event. I stole this idea by the way. First pic: Get some PVC larger diameter than your electric tea lights. (I suppose getting tea lights would be a better first step, but less interesting pic) Mark the PVC into sections the length you want your candles. Different lengths are good to give you more decorating use and interest. Attachments:

Then add spray foam. Add a lot and even though the can says 8 hours, wait 24 before moving on. Attachments:

Go over the top edge and drip down a bit with hot glue. Attachments:

Did you just use spray paint on the candles, or something else? It didn't have any problem sticking to the hot glue?

I just used spray paint. i started with white, but it didn't cover the lettering on the PVC very well.

I guess you could sand off the lettering before you start.
